Copyright Policy
LinkLynx respects the rights of creators, and we expect our users to do the same. This page explains what we host, how to tell us about infringing content, and what happens next.
What we host
People who use LinkLynx upload images to build their pages, and we generate short videos from those images. We store and display that content on their behalf. Cards on a page can also link out to third-party websites. We do not host what those links point to, so for that content you should contact the site that does.
Users are responsible for the content they upload and must have the right to use it.
Report infringement (DMCA notice)
If you believe something on LinkLynx infringes your copyright, send us a written notice that includes all of the following, as described in 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature (the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them).
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by one notice.
- The material you want removed, with its LinkLynx URL (for example the page address of the card or the link to the image) so we can find it.
- Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner of the right or authorized to act for the owner.
A notice missing these details may not be enough for us to act on. Please be accurate: knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages.
Where to send it
Email: support@linklynx.bio
Please put "Copyright notice" in the subject line. Rights holders outside the United States are welcome to use the same address. We handle those notices the same way.
What we do
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material, usually within 24 to 48 hours. We then tell the person who uploaded it, send them a copy of the notice, and explain how to respond.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where LinkLynx can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We will forward your counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action against you, we will restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe. As a rule, an account that receives three valid notices that are not successfully countered is closed. We may act sooner in serious cases.
